Dave leads the strategic business development efforts in our Spokane office, acting as a central point of contact in building social capital throughout our network of friends and clients. He began his career in the financial services industry in 1994 and prides himself on providing the highest level of service and investment advice.
Dave spent his early years in Private Client Services at Wachovia, Salomon Smith Barney, and UBS (PaineWebber). In 2002, Dave co-founded Martin Investment Group (MIG), a predecessor company which merged with Summit Capital in 2006. Dave continued at Summit Capital as a Partner until it merged with Merriman Wealth Management in 2016. Dave received his BA in Accounting from Gonzaga University in 1994 and holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7, 9, 10, 63 and 65 licenses.
Since 2011 Dave has been a board member of the Gleason Initiative Foundation, an organization that helps provide technology and adventures to individuals with muscular diseases and raises public awareness toward ALS. Over 12 years ago he spearheaded the Steve Gleason Classic, a now annual golf tournament which has raised over $2 million for ALS.
Dave and his wife Robin split their time between Oahu and Spokane. They enjoy spending time as a family, facilitating Gleason, Wounded Warriors, and Make-a-Wish adventures.
