Family has always been important at Merriman

Paul Merriman established Merriman in 1983 with the philosophy of taking care of clients first and foremost. His son, Jeff Merriman-Cohen took over several years later and worked to create a culture where clients and employees alike were treated as family. Jeremy Burger has continued on this tradition by hiring exceptional individuals who respect and appreciate their co-workers. We strive to create a healthy work-life balance by respecting each individual’s outside responsibilities. Every Merriman employee has family, friends and a life outside of work; creating programs and an environment that accommodates this important aspect of life separates us as an employer.

At Merriman we are family, not just coworkers. We all care about each other and because of that I think we are more caring with our clients.

The Teamwork at Merriman is unlike anywhere else I have worked. Everyone works together on projects, within and across departments. We listen to and respect each other’s input. We help each other by answering questions and sharing work so that no one feels overwhelmed. Merriman makes working fun!

We are all part of a team

A team mentality is what drives us here at Merriman. We serve our clients best as a team and we achieve our goals as a team. Creating a culture where team work is paramount requires hiring the right people and encouraging positive team behaviors. Our employees appreciate the support and camaraderie they get from being part of the team-oriented culture.

We realize our employees are the heart of our business

Showing our employees how vital they are to our success is very important at Merriman. We offer a unique work environment and a culture that promotes teamwork and living a balanced life.

Beyond competitive pay and a comprehensive wellness package (medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability), we offer a generous paid time off program, 401(k) matching program and other ‘extras’ that promote a healthy work-life balance and make Merriman a fun, fulfilling place to work. These benefits make the difference for each of our employees when it comes to their happiness while being at work.

One of my favorite ‘perks’ of working at Merriman is the level of generosity toward employees. The benefits and fun employee recognition activities make me not only want to come to work, but to do the best that I can at my job.
